Woah!
I was doing so well with daily blogging and I lost my mojo.
It has been a busy week, let's see.

Canada Day celebrations ~ our town goes all out for Canada Day with a parade, music and games at the beach/park and an excellent fireworks display in the evening.  We have 3 parades per year in our small town, and although they only last a few minutes, and you know everyone in them, they are so much fun!  I love to hear the pipers and to see the Colour Guard lead our few remaining veterans as kids on bikes and wagons tootle about.
Rowan has always had a love for the town mascot (as opposed to my fear of anyone in costumes!) ~ here she is sharing a moment with Bernard the Beaver:
And the fireworks, (caught on a cell phone, not the best!):
The rest of our week went to work, Vacation Bible School (Rowan), a little beach time with little friends (hot! hot! hot!) and I spent too much time on several failed silk painting experiments in the midst (hopefully more GOOD news to come).

I love that your dog stays in the boat. Our 90lb English Setter can't be bothered to get his feet wet!
