Welcome to our Monday Playdate!
Everyone is welcome to link up to this post all week long with your play related posts, pics and ideas~!snag the button below and add it to your post!
Wake up little pinecone
The rain has fallen and the air is fresh
And someday you will be a tree
The tallest tree in the land
(Richard Fuerst)
Ah, the pincone.
Humble little possibility.
As the last of our snow has receded from all but the shadiest of places, these little gems are revealed across the land as surely as the bold crowns of crocus and daffodil.
There is something about the pincecone that calls to the child (in all of us).
I distinctly remember a battle with my daughter over wearing a particular yellow shirt last spring.
Yellow was her favourite colour.
She loved the shirt and wanted to wear it.
However.
It had two tiny (decorative) pockets and she was in tears because they were not large enough to hold 'even a baby pinceone'.
Oh! How the battle raged. She couldn't get dressed due to this dilemma.
Everyone was very late that morning. Very.
And as surely as spring reveals the little cones, it also ushers in a host of pincecone related activities!
We always collect a few varieties of cones and seed pods for our nature table...
They make great little mice with a pair of felt ears and a yarn tail...
A wooden bead and some fluffy wool hair for a gnome of fairy or person...
Bird feeders, stuffed with peanut butter and seeds...
With this in mind, it seemed like a great time to link up to some inspiring pinecone crafts from the blogosphere!
Tell Us About Your Favourite Pinceone uses or any ideas and crafts you have to share...
Blog about it, or any other play related topics, photos or ideas and use the link up tool below! If this is your first playdate at BTRT, follow this link for the button and complete (but simple!) instructions for participation! Don't forget to add the button and link back ♥
Hint: Use the title of your blog post for the 'name' portion of the link up!

How fun! We like to roll pinecones in peanut butter and bird seed and hang them from trees for the birdies. :)
Fun!!
