CONGRATULATIONS TO TRACY! (#30)
This month, Beneath the Rowan Tree celebrates 4 years in business!
To thank our wonderful (wonder full!) customers and friends we are giving away a 'Silk a Day in May' (click for complete details).
The giveaway for Friday, May 13th is a custom dyed Silk Play Cape. ~ This giveaway has been extended due to Blogger being down for the entry period... if you previously entered, check that your entry still exists... they reset all posts and comments during the downtime!
Imagination takes flight!How to Enter:
The perfect accessory for your little superhero, fairy, princess or alien goldfish from the volcano... lightweight and breezy, dyed in YOUR CHOICE of colours.
The perfect choice for those who prefer natural materials! Silk is very durable, being the strongest of all fibers~ it also breathes and moves beautifully for comfort and ease of wear.
Choose up to three colours (or one solid) for your child's custom cape. Keep in mind when choosing your colours that the colours will blend (ie blue and yellow will also create green on your cape).
Visit our Gallery to see many samples.
Age 3+
Each cape is hand dyed in non-toxic, food grade dyes.
100% silk, 8mm.
Measures 35 x 33", with a 35" tie secured and foreshortened in the cape for safety.

I remember your recent blog post on coming up with the idea of fairy doors & I love it! I especially like your mosaic fairy door - so vibrant.
I am now following your blog :D
I am a facebook fan
...and a happy blog follower
If I had to choose just one favorite thing on etsy it would be the big playsilk sets. My kids have played with theirs everyday for the last 6 years! (and could really use some new ones LOL)
I am a FB fan, and am now a blog follower as well ; )
I love EVERY SINGLE THING at your etsy shop, BUT if I have to choose, hmm....I've already written to you about the fantabulous Chasing Rainbows pinafore, so obviously love it. I also adore HRH Daisy the Ewe, she is awesome and can of course come to my party any ol' day!
Thanks for your wonderful giveaways, it's great to see artists and creators who appreciate and interact with their fans/customers.
*This is the second time I am posting this - I posted shortly after the announcement, but the entire blog entry was erased and along with it all the comments :(.
(I can be contacted through my FB account - which is among the followers on your BTRT page - or through my e-mail linked to my blog follower profile)
I too have been admiring your work over the last few months. If I had to choose one thing listed today, it would be that stunning needlefelt scupture 'A life Changing Moment'.
I hope one day my daughter will be a reader and I can create something that represents that too. Brilliant.
i had a heckuva time picking one favorite. in the end i decided on the 'to honor the spring' birch purse. gorgeous! but i also love the fairy garlands, every blessed playsilk, and everything else in your shop.

Hmmm...I love so many of your beautiful BTRT items. Even though we already own 3 skirts (2 kaleidoscope and a toddler-sized and Waldorf doll-sized puddle jumpers), I think I would choose another skirt! You keep making them with lovely new fabrics and I want to buy them all for my daughter :) I also seriously considered buying that mouse and cheese with the picnic playsilk that you listed a few months ago. I hesitated and then it quickly sold to someone else :( I look forward to seeing more exciting and new imaginative toys like that one in the future :)
I LOVE the flutterbies (actually everything in your shop lol)
