We enjoyed our fourth book on a rainy Sunday afternoon.

I finally snapped a couple of shots of our chosen 'wrapping' for our 25 holdiay books in December.
As I mentioned earlier, I was not comfortable with the thought of wrapping 25 books in paper, and chose instead to make a bunch of fabric bags~ it was a tad tedious, but worthwhile... This way we can use them year after year!
I had a stash of Christmas and other fabrics on hand.
I simply cut rectangles in a variety of book friendly sizes and made very basic bags with drawstring closures.
The drawstrings served as my chain stitch practice (learning to crochet is my December goal!).
And the tags were made with scrap linen, stamps, ribbon and a bit of felt.
All together in a basket, they look festive and fun!
Our Day Four book was a favourite board book (with audio CD) we received as a gift several years ago.
Rowan has always loved the rhyme, the detailed illustrations of forest critters and the surprising ending that proves even grumpy old bears have the Christmas Spirit and will come out to celebrate the Nativity.
 A Merry Creature Christmas by Dandi Daley Mackall is a great reader for the Grade 1/2 crowd and of course, its board format makes it a safe bet with the pre-school bunch!
